Creating Sustainable Futures, Driven by Faith, Empowering Communities

We have a unique approach to community transformation that focuses on amplifying local voices. We believe that people living in a particular community have the best understanding of the challenges they face and the solutions that will work for them.

OGD seeks to engage local leaders, educators, and community members to co-create solutions tailored to each community's unique needs. This approach leads to lasting change and empowerment of people to take ownership of the solutions and be the agents of change in the community.

Our Initiatives

Global Education and Empowerment

Empowering communities through building schools, enhancing education, and providing opportunities for children, youth and young adults.

Women’s Enterprise Initiative

Empowering women through agricultural initiatives, fostering sustainable livelihoods, and promoting community resilience and growth.

Champions for Change Sports Initiative

Sports offer a platform to engage the next generation and promote teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Our Sports Initiatives allow children from low-income communities to play sports and experience sports' positive impact and outcomes.

Leadership Development

Leadership training is essential to promote sustainable development, foster vigorous communities and build vital churches. OGD helps leaders to become effective agents of change and transformation in their communities.

We work with pastors and lay leaders by providing workshops and training to help strengthen leadership and, subsequently the community. We provide leadership training for men, women, and youth.

Our mission is to offer aid and support to those affected by crisis, bringing together compassion and resources to rebuild lives and restore hope in times of devastation.

Disaster Relief

Maternal Health Initiative

We are committed to fighting a growing need for pre/post-natal care in rural communities. This project will help provide crucial services to vulnerable communities, ensuring safe births, reducing maternal and infant mortality rates, and providing a healthy start to life.

Our team is honored to contribute to the effort of providing prenatal baby bags through three clinics to women in The Gambia. A Successful Sports Camp: A Recap
Our recent sports camp was a massive success! We brought professional US athletes to Zambia and introduced kids to various sports, including basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, and badminton. Our partner athletes constructed a basketball court and provided soccer balls and other equipment. This is just the start of our efforts to allow young people to explore new sports and play their favorites with proper gear and supplies.

OGD's Dedication to Student Success: A Look at Recent Programs and Future Plans

At OGD, we are devoted to providing students with the tools they need to excel in school. In 2023, we took action by supplying school materials to our students in Zambia and introducing Omega Pals. This program allowed students to exchange letters, candy, and school planners with a school in Gerard, Ohio. It was a pilot program and it proved to be highly successful.

We are ecstatic to announce that we have decided to continue the program in the future.

OGD takes pride in assisting churches like this congregation in Rwanda with the reconstruction of their sanctuaries. We know that many of these churches require extensive repairs, and we are pleased to see the initiatives taken by pastors and leaders in addressing the needs of their communities.

OGD Partners with Nasuti Yange Foundation to Empower Vulnerable Children
We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Nasuti Yange Foundation. Since its inception in 2000, this faith-based organization has been assisting orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda, specifically those on the streets, disabled, refugees, or in the youth justice system. The foundation has supported 120 children to date.

We are excited to join the Nasuti Yange Foundation to bolster our mission of transforming communities and empowering needy children.

“Education and Empowerment lift not only individuals but entire communities from the cycles of poverty.”
